Virginia & Ambinder, led by Charles Virginia and Maura Moosnick, secured a trial win for the New York City Carpenters Benefit Funds against Alite Flooring LLC. Following a December 2025 bench trial, Hon. P. Kevin Castel held in a July 21, 2025 Order & Opinion that Alite failed to undermine the reliability of the audit report or negate the reasonableness of the Funds’ evidence, and found Alite liable for $533,053.60 of delinquent contributions, plus interest, liquidated damages and attorneys’ fees and costs. The Court awarded V&A all attorneys' fees and costs requested in the amount of $92,567.59, finding that the time and rates were reasonable and not redundant and that this was “hard-fought litigation that proceeded to trial.” The Southern District of New York case number is Case 1:22-cv-00522-PKC.
On July 21, 2025, V&A obtained a favorable judgment for the New York City Carpenters Funds against Alite Flooring LLC.
